CONTACT USSimon Dark joined Security by Design in 1992, from further education, starting as an Operations Assistant with the company’s founders.
Simon is now Operations Director and a co-owner of the company. Simon is jointly responsible for achieving all our quality assurance accreditations, gaining his NVQ Security Systems and Technical Services qualifications along the way, which was a UK-first within an organisation.
From design to commissioning, or existing system review, Simon can assist with any aspect of our services.
In his spare time Simon enjoys getting out on foot to explore London and the great UK outdoors as much as possible.
Richard ‘Rich’ Bates joined Security by Design in 2007, following electrical engineer training and service in the Royal Engineers, including attachment to The Royal Marines.
Having started as an engineer with Security by Design, and gaining his NVQ Security Systems and Technical Services qualifications, Rich is now responsible for engineering and became a Director and co-owner of the company in 2014.
Rich is able to assist with any job or enquiry from start to finish.
In his spare time Rich coaches under 9s Rugby and enjoys getting out for walks with his two dogs.
